						Skyscraper Liberty Science Center, Jersey City, NJ S2 took over this project during the design development phase. The exhibition is in gallery space located in the newly-constructed wing at the far left of the lobby on the ground floor. At 12,800 square feet, including a 1,500-square-foot mezzanine gallery, Skyscraper! is the largest permanent exhibition at Liberty Science Center. It is also the most comprehensive single exhibition ever mounted on the topic. Key content concepts for this exhibition are: • Skyscrapers demonstrate applications of science and technology in everyday life. • Science and engineering principles are integral to the design, construction and life span of a tall building. • Environments are created and impacted by the development of tall buildings. • Environmentally-conscious architects and engineers apply green” principles in order to design more sustainable buildings. Offering a variety of presentation formats from multimedia to full-body kinetic experiences and experiment-based lab stations, the exhibition will examine the science and technology of these amazing structures through four main content areas.
