| | | Manufacturing The Intel Museum, Santa Clara, CA
The new Manufacturing exhibit at the Intel Museum in Santa Clara is a 1500 square foot exhibition highlighting Intel’s leadership in silicon technology. The focus of the exhibit is the people behind the technology, including the “fab workers” who work day to day in ultra clean chip manufacturing facilities. The amber lighting and amber tint to all background images serve as immersive elements, guiding visitors to the content. Stories include who works in a clean room, how clean rooms are structured, and how chips make it from the fab to the finished product. Interactive features include a live video feed to an advanced Intel facility as well as “Build A Chip,” a touch screen multimedia exhibit which allows visitors to “paint” a complex transistor and its layers.
