| | | 9th Circuit Court 100 Year Anniversary Exhibit, United States 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, San Francisco, CA
Rugged Justice, as the decisions of this forward thinking court are known. This exhibit focuses on the 100 year history of the 9th Circuit, with one case per decade being highlighted. Exhibit graphics, images, small artifacts and descriptive text will interpret each case and place it in the cultural context of the time. The 9th Circuit has written opinions on many significant cases, including early Chinese exclusion, anti draft issues and most recently, copyright infringement in the form of the Napster case. This exhibit opened in January of 2005 and is located in one of the grand corridors of this 100 year old building in downtown San Francisco. Although only a 1000 square foot project, this exhibit was designed for travel and will be shown at courthouses throughout the 9th Circuit. Dan Wodarcyk designed this exhibit in collaboration with the 9th Circuit staff.
